Namaste is dedicated to Green Building and Green Remodeling, two terms that companies take lightly but that are the cornerstone of much of Namaste's corporate mantra.
We design homes that fit in with the local environment, landscaping homes with natural prairie grasses and plants that are native to northern Illinois. We also build homes that can generate as much energy as they use or even more in some cases.
By using truly Green products like solar panels we can capture electricity and save it for when you really need it; our foundations are 6-inch concrete walls instead of the 4-inch that most builders use, giving you more insulation from the very start; we also use 6-inch walls, allowing us to insulate more because more space is dedicated to it; and high-grade windows and heating pumps that can capture the Earth’s natural warmth and use it as energy year-round.
Namaste is certified by LEED, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, and is a proud member of the USGBC, the United States Green Building Council – the foremost association dedicated to the support and growth of Green Building and Green Remodeling concepts.
